TOW #2

I read the post about when to use the word “got”. I found out that it is perfectly fine to use that word if you are using it in the right context. If you are using it as something like, “You got to find that pencil”, it’s not okay to use it because it’s informal. However, if you were using it in the sense that you are saying you got the opportunity to find the pencil it’s fine to use. Also, the slogan “Got Milk?” is a fine way to use the word as well. I was surprised to find out that British English people have different standards of how they use the word “got”. We say “have gotten” while they would say “have got”. I’d like to learn more about the differents standards differnt types of languages use when they are using the word “got”.
